Rules for International Championship Wrestling (ICW)
Limit of Characters – Each handler is allowed a maximum of three active characters. Active characters meaning characters who will be wrestling in the matches. If you wish to bring in supporting characters (characters who don’t compete in matches), we are lenient with supporting characters because they do not count towards your maximum of three active characters.
Character Names – The names of your characters must be original and cannot be the names of real wrestlers or any celebrity. For example, you cannot call your character Triple H or Mickie James.
Bio Page – You must have a bio page that includes stats and information on your character posted in the Registration section before your character will start being booked. You can find a bio page sample template by going into the Registration section on the home page, then click on “ICW Superstar Sign Up”.
Permission To Use Characters – You must get permission first before using another handler’s character(s) in your rp's and/or show segments. Feel free to use our backstage interviewers Harley Meisner, Sara Butler, and George Sullivan in your roleplays and show segments. Use them sensibly and respectfully of course. They can be found on the staff page. No other staff members can be used in your rp without permission first.
Storylines – If you have a suggestion for a storyline for your character or you think that you would like to work with another handler on one, just let us know and we can discuss it. We are always open to new ideas. Also, you will never be forced to run a storyline that you do not want your character in. We want to make sure that you are happy with how your character is being portrayed in results and in segments. If you would like to write segments for your character to be put into results, please let us know that you are going to be sending us a segment for that particular show so that we can write the show appropriately.
Word Count For RP’s - 300 word minimum and 4000 word maximum for all match rp’s. This will always be stated in the match thread. If your rp is under the minimum requirement, it will not count. If you go over the maximum limit by 100+ words, there will be a deduction in the overall judgement of your rp.
Rp Limits - The usual limit is 1 rp per person, or 2 per team if in a tag team match. But the Mayhem Division has a maximum rp limit of 3 rps per character.
Editing Your RP – You have 30 MINUTES to edit your match rp once you have posted it. However, this does NOT mean that you can post your rp at 11:55 PM EST on the night of the deadline and think that you get 30 minutes afterwards to edit. The deadline is still in effect.
RP Deadline – The deadline for match rp’s is posted on the cards and in the match threads. If your rp is not posted by 11:59:59 PM EST on the deadline date, it will not be counted.
No Shows – If you reach three unexcused consecutive no shows for your matches, you will no longer be booked on the cards. If things have come up that is preventing you from roleplaying for your matches, then please let us know so that we won’t book you until you are ready to return. Also note that if you are a champion and you no show for a title defense match, you will be stripped of your championship that you were to be defending in that match.
Violence - No shooting, stabbing, or raping people. Use discretion if you want to portray violence in your writing. This can be a sensitive issue for other handlers, so please be careful.
Language – Minimal swearing in your rp’s is fine. Just don’t go overboard by swearing in every single sentence. That can be a turnoff for the reader and affect the quality of your rp.
Sexual Content – A kiss, hug, or caress is fine in an rp, but don’t go writing out a sex scene because that is inappropriate and not necessary. Also, keep any slurs pertaining to race and religion at a minimum. Use discretion.
Bullying - We do not tolerate bullying AT ALL.
Titles - A character cannot hold more than one championship at the same time, UNLESS it is the Tag Team Championship. Example, your character is the World Heavyweight Champion and they are also part of a tag team who has just won the Tag Team Championship. Your character can keep the World Heavyweight Championship and their Tag Team Title. However, if your character is World Heavyweight Champion and wins the US Title or the Payne Championship, they keep the title that is highest in rank but must vacate the lower ranking title. Another example, you are the Payne Champion and you've just won the US Title, you will keep the US Title and must vacate the Payne Title. This applies to ALL the singles championships, including the Women's Title. But as stated, you can hold a singles title AND a tag team title at the same time.
Drama – We do not tolerate any drama between handlers on the boards. Please keep the egos at the door. We are here to get along with each other, make new friends, and to just have fun!
Recruiting - If you have any friends or family who you think might like to join, just give them the link to our homepage. We welcome first time e-fedders and/or experienced e-fedders. We are always looking for new talent!
