Up Close With ICW’s Very Own Lycra
ICW interviewer Malcolm Reed recently had the chance to sit down with ICW Superstar Lycra to conduct a personal interview with her.
Malcolm Reed: Thank you for this interview Lycra.
Lycra: Glad I have some time to do it.
Malcolm Reed: You have been so successful in ICW. What is the driving force behind you?
Lycra: My family mainly. Darren and Maverick are my driving force. Sure I give myself credit for my success, but they are the ones I live for and having them is only more motivation for me to push onward.
Malcolm Reed: What is it like to be a mother?
Lycra: It’s great, but at the same time it has its test points. I say that because as many people know, I’ve got a daughter living in Europe and when she was around, it was difficult for me to make the right decisions where she was concerned. Raising my son Maverick has been a joy and difficult at the same time. When he misbehaves, sometimes it’s hard to take the video games away from him and ground him for a week, but that’s part of the discipline of parenting. It has to be done.
Malcolm Reed: Does touring on the road with ICW affect your family life?
Lycra: Not really because me and Darren are both with the company and we both know what all the travelling entails for our family. Maverick is fine with it and we spend as much time at home relaxing as we can. We need that family time together as any family does.
Malcolm Reed: How is Darren Maddox as a husband and a father?
Lycra: Darren is great. He’s an amazing husband and father to Mav. Most people don’t see his soft side, but trust me, it’s there. He has the purest heart any man could have. He’s made mistakes, but when you look past those mistakes, he has such a good heart.
Malcolm Reed: Are you still friends with Adam Impact and Jay Impact?
Lycra: Yes. They too have made their mistakes just like Darren has, but I won’t end my friendship with Adam or with Jay just because they’re not saints.
Malcolm Reed: Rumor has it you will be doing a lot of upcoming Comic Con Conventions across the U.S and Canada. Is this true?
Lycra: Yeah it is. I’m all set to appear at many comic cons starting in September. The fans always love to come out and see me and I love it just as much as they do. To be able to meet them all and get some handshakes and take some photos is such an amazing experience.
Malcolm Reed: Finally, who gave you the nickname Lycra The Legend, because it couldn’t be more fitting when describing you.
Lycra: The fans gave it to me. It got started on Twitter, then next thing I knew, my whole fanbase was calling me that, and eventually it just stuck with me wherever I went. It’s still stuck with me to this day. The fans still call me that.
It seems that Lycra is about to be a very busy woman and is looking forward to representing ICW as she is currently doing right now!
