Ace Reigns vs Phillip Saints
The show begins with Phillip Saints and Ace Reigns already in the ring as the referee motions for the bell to ring to start the match.Phillip and Ace lock up in a test of strength with Phillip getting the better of Ace and turns it into an Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex.
Ace gets back up to his feet and then runs at Phillip knocking him down with a Spear. Phillip gets back up to his feet as Ace comes running in, but Phillip gets his feet up blocking whatever Ace was going for.
The force of Phillip blocking Ace’s move was so powerful that he bounces off the ropes back at Phillip who then connects with Saints Row.
Tony London: What a combination of moves there by Phillip!
Mark Williams: It’s still early so don’t count out Ace yet.
Tony London: I don’t know Mark, not many people have kicked out of the Saints Row.
The referee counts the pinfall giving the first point of the contest to Phillip Saints. Phillip is happy sign his handiwork.
Ace pulls himself back up to his feet and then start attacking away at Phillip as Phillip tries his best to cover up but Ace then out of nowhere rebounds off the ropes and connects with the Ace of Spades.
Phillip instinctively rolls to the outside of the ring to avoid Ace being able to pin him. Ace rolls out of the ring after Phillip. Ace rams Phillip’s head repeatedly into the steel steps before finally throwing him very hard into the barricade.
Mark Williams: Ace is coming back and it’s not looking too good for Phillip right now.
Tony London: Phillip’s a pro so he’ll get back into this match.
Mark Williams: I don’t think Phillip will be able to break the referee’s ten counts on the outside.
Ace slides back into the ring as the referee counts was at the eighth count but Phillip fails to make into the ring before the ten counts.
Ace heads back outside to bring Phillip back into the ring. Ace throws Phillip into the ring and then rolls back into the ring himself, Ace lifts Phillip up to his feet and then connects with the Jackpot and then goes for the cover.
The referee counts the three for Ace Reigns so now it’s Ace up by two to Phillip only one victory so far. Phillip looks up at the scoreboard and it begins to stir something up inside of him as he has now found a second gear.
Tony London: What the hell is going? Phillip is looking like he just got a second wind to himself!
Mark Williams: It’s the fact that Phillip saw he was on the losing end so it kicked up his fight response.
Tony London: I have heard of getting a second chance but this is ridiculous.
Ace runs at Phillip going for another Ace of Spades but Phillip dodges it and connects with the Viper Cutter to Ace. Phillip stands over Ace for a bit before going for the cover.
The referee counts the three falls for Phillip, now the match is tied with two wins a piece for either man. Phillip now stands in the corner farthest away from where Ace is standing and then runs in connecting with the Devil’s Kick.
The referee only gets a long two counts as Ace was able to get his right shoulder off the canvas. Phillip is physically shown arguing with the referee and then Ace connects with the Reign Drop.
Mark Williams: And just like that Ace is going to pick up the win and be in the lead for the moment.
Tony London: Phillip is a legend so he’ll find a way to kick out of this finisher by Ace.
Mark Williams: Phillip really needs to regroup and fast!
The referee was not in a good angle to see if Phillip’s shoulders were down on the mat so it gave Phillip time to get his shoulder off the mat much to the chagrin of Ace.
Ace gets back up to his feet and is now arguing with the referee and telling him that he can’t do his job. Phillip uses this time to get behind Ace who doesn’t notice that Phillip is behind him.
Ace turns around and walks right into an Angel Slam from Phillip. Phillip quickly goes for the cover as the referee counts the three counts and awards the next point to Phillip.
Tony London: That’s three points for Phillip to Ace’s two points.
Mark Williams: Ace pretty much cost himself that point by arguing with the referee.
Tony London: Can Ace come back in the match or is it too late for a comeback? Only time can tell.
Phillip waits for Ace to get back up to his feet and then connects with McKnight’s Tackle and then gets another pinfall bringing his score up to four.
Phillip then grabs the ankle of Ace as he begins tightening his grip and turns it into his own version of the ankle lock.
Ace spends no time tapping out in order to prevent himself for any long term future damage to his body. The clock ticks down as the final count is five points for Phillip and two points for Ace.
Winner: Phillip Saints with five points (Four by pinfall and one by submission)
Mark Williams: What a match by both these athletes involved!
Tony London: Phillip with an amazing performance here tonight on the debut episode of Tuesday Night Arrival.
